Lets go Giants!

You know those moments in life when you become so desperate for sleep that you can’t go on anymore, and then you just keep pushing anyway? That’s about where I’m at in life right now. I woke up at 4 this morning, telling myself that everything is going to be okay because I only had one flight to Denver and then I could go back to bed.

But you know, that life of a flight attendant thing happened and I found myself sitting 9 rows back from home base at Coors stadium.

Go Giants!

Cheers to more pics of balls!

A date in Portland

I had 2 days off this week in between work trips. One day was for doing laundry and grocery shopping, the other was for taking a little day trip to Portland to do some shopping. Mitch needed a new toy. Had a lovely day trying out some food trucks, drinking energy drinks and enjoying the scenery. Thanks for the date my love ♥

Sleepless in Seattle

There are certain things you just do in Seattle. You visit the Public Market, you grab a crappy cup of coffee at the very first Starbucks, you see some fish flying in the air and you buy some fresh flowers. Maybe you stop at a juice kiosk and regrettably try a grass shot…Oh! You also have to buy a new book in the Lamplight Bookstore that you’ll probably never read from the self help/inspirational section.

I was lucky enough to have a layover with the Rhodes sisters who were working with me for this 3 day trip. Thanks Barbara and Mary for making this work week feel like a mini vacation. Don’t think I ever stop laughing around those girls. The theme of this trip was “Lets drink as much coffee as we can and see what happens”.

This also must have been the first time the people of Seattle saw sun because there were lots of people in the street with their eyes closed basking in small patches of sun. It was weird. Seattle is weird, lots of crazies walking around downtown. Which normally I try to stay away from but, somehow Seattle makes it charming.

To anyone else who is planning a visit: *ahem* my cousin Christine: I recommend riding the giant Ferris Wheel because it’s even funner (and cheaper) than you’d imagine. Obviously you have to see the space needle. And if you run out of things to see (which is pretty hard to do), the aquarium is cute.

Running around the Happiest Place on Earth!

Last weekend I did the Tinkerbell half marathon.  It was amazing. And painful. I got sick right before the race so the little training I had done pretty much hadn’t helped me. Also the night before, Caten and I stayed at the park until closing and were basically too excited to sleep. So, running (literally) on no sleep and a cold was quite the experience.  I hated everything at mile 6, but my friend Ashley was performing at mile 7, so that give me a little push. And then mile 10 I got a little bit of a boost because I realized I only had 3 more miles. Except then after mile 11 I realized 3 miles still felt far. Last mile and my legs felt like pinocchio. Then when the finish line was in sight it took everything in me not to start crying because of how happy I was. 2 years ago my new years resolution was to run a half marathon. It may have taken me a little longer, but I’m super proud to have accomplished this goal.

This was 100% one of my favorite Disneyland trips. Surrounded by family and friends, my heart felt so full. Why did it have to go by so fast? When can I go back, and why the F  is it so expensive?!

Since the race I have been eager to sign up for more races. However,  I did some damage to my ankles doing the half. Stayed off my feet for a couple days and the pain had almost healed completely, so I ran the last 2 days but the pain is back. Both ankles now, and worse than ever! Thinking of buying some Kinsiology tape and seeing if that helps? Anyone have this problem have any tips? It’s hard enough to find motivation to run, and now that I have it my body isn’t letting me! Grrr the frustration!

Here are some photos from the trip. I was glad I managed to get out the Cannon during all the festivities. I had fun playing with shutter speed during the parade. But I think my favorite photos are the last 2. Anywho, back to work for me today. Happy Sunday! See you soon Denver!

And the Pursuit of Happiness

SFO-LAX-DAL-DCA

Yesterday was a long day. Which brings me to my 20 hour DC layover. I could spend all day walking around this beautiful place. And to kick off the season with some warm sun gave some serious soul revival. 16,000 steps and I haven’t even worked a flight yet!

Aging gracefully

2 of my favorite places to visit are a hard tie between Las Vegas and Disneyland. I guess because in both places you can get away with not acting your own age. Bae got us a fancy room at the Cosmopolitan which has definitely been on the bucket list. Favorite slot machine? Willy Wonka. Have I ever won anything on it? No, but it’s got some great music and it feels like a video game.

This trip was cool because I played some black or red roulette and made $30. Thanks Fremont St. for not having expensive minimum bets.

We also went to my favorite buffet in the entire world at Cesar’s Palace. Hellloooo unlimited crab! Made some new friends, Drank some whiskey, didn’t have a hangover. I’d say it was a giant success.

Also didn’t mean for that photo to be poster sized, but look at that view!

And the following photos aren’t fancy camera photos, but they make me happy. Perks of being a flight attendant is that all your best friends swap into long vegas layovers and come celebrate with you. WHILE ALSO GETTING PAID! Thanks babes for making it out and staying out all night.

Also had to add that little photo for our breakfast at EggSlut because we waited in like for 2 hours for it, and it was worth it.

Where can I get some damn bait?

This cutie took me to Las Vegas for my 26th birthday. We woke up at 5, drove to the Hoover Dam and grabbed an early breakfast at the Southwest Diner (which btw I highly recommend). Neither of us were expecting it to be as cool as it was. Can’t believe it took 26 years for me to make it out here, being a Cali native and all. Also hooray for my first time in Arizona!
